Job summary

Central Transport is hiring a Terminal Manager in Kansas City to oversee dock operations, lead a team of 5-10 drivers, and ensure safety compliance across the facility. You’ll recruit, coach, and develop staff while maintaining strong customer service standards and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Prior LTL management experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong leadership skills including hiring, coaching and mentoring.
• Desire to deliver excellence in service to customers.
• High aptitude for technology and systems.
• Ability to multi-task while staying detail oriented.
• Excellent written, listening and verbal communication.
• Willingness to work 50 hours per week on average.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee terminal dock operations in an LTL cross-dock facility.
• Provide leadership to 5-10 LTL city and road drivers.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain terminal/driver staff.
• Monitor dock production and ensure audit compliance.
• Maintain a safe work environment per DOT/OSHA standards.
• Support a culture of excellence in service to customers.
• Adapt to varying shifts as business levels change.
