Job summary

FitzMark, Inc. in Atlanta is seeking an LTL Operations Specialist to manage carrier and customer-facing tasks within the LTL department.

You will handle conflict resolution, quoting shipments, scheduling, and growing relationships with our customers in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, a bachelor’s degree preferred, and 2 years in logistics plus 3 years in customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in logistics preferred, LTL preferred.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in customer service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally in person, over the phone, and via email with accounts, customers, and team members.
• Track growth/decline of managed customer accounts and identify new opportunities.
• Utilize TMS to enter bids and maintain communication with customers.
• Provide customers with quick, effective solutions when issues arise.
• Continuously build and increase industry knowledge.
• Serve as the main point of contact for customers.
• Assist accounting with invoicing problems as needed.
• Support multiple customer accounts concurrently and meet deadlines.

Position Overview

The LTL Operations Specialist is responsible for handling both carrier and customer-facing tasks within the LTL Department. This position will be involved in managed accounts specific to the department, with tasks including conflict resolution, quoting shipments, scheduling, and most importantly growing relationships with our customers. The person for this position will have tenacity, a passion for account success, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Communicating professionally in person, over the phone, and via email to accounts, customers, and team members
• Track growth/decline of managed customer accounts and identify new opportunities
• Utilize TMS to enter bids and keeping communication with customers
• Provide customers with a quick, effective solution if problems arise
• Continuously build and increase your industry knowledge
• Ability to be the main point of contact for customers
• Assist accounting department with any invoicing problems that may arise
• Service multiple customer accounts concurrently, often meeting deadlines

Experience And Qualifications

• High School Diploma required
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
• Minimum of two-year’s experience in logistics preferred, preferably on the LTL side of the business
• Minimum of three-year’s experience in customer service preferred
