Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with LTL pricing, procurement, or transportation analysis.
• Understanding of how LTL carriers price freight and cost drivers.
• Knowledge of national and regional LTL networks and carrier operations.
• Ability to independently evaluate carrier proposals and develop defensible sourcing recommendations.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills, including pricing data.
• Clear communication of findings to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Attention to detail with multi-project management.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer LTL bids from data preparation to bid analysis, presentations, and implementation.
• Evaluate carrier pricing proposals, including base tariffs, discounts, surcharges, and accessorial charges.
• Develop bid scenarios balancing cost, service, coverage, and customer requirements; explain tradeoffs.
• Identify suitable carriers based on service areas, transit times, and network capabilities.
• Negotiate pricing and terms with carriers in coordination with internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with operations to translate awards into routing guides.
• Maintain timely communication with customers, carriers, and internal teams.
• Stay updated on LTL market conditions and network changes.
