Job summary

Waukesha County's Department of Health & Human Services is recruiting for an LTE Public Health Technician. The role includes direct customer service, WIC intake, and on-the-job training for height/weight measurements and capillary blood testing. Minimum education is a high school diploma or GED with health-related coursework or experience; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Location is on-site in Waukesha County.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of capillary screening procedures and use of scales.
• Ability to perform basic calculations and maintain records.
• Experience with computer systems and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct customer service in person and by phone.
• Complete intake services for WIC families.
• Perform height/weight measurements and lead screenings (on-the-job training).
• Enter data, run searches, and generate reports using computer systems.
• Maintain supplies and prepare/Calibrate equipment as needed.
• Maintain records and documentation related to health screenings.
