Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Long Term Care seeks a skilled RN for a 16-week travel assignment in Elgin, IL. This LTC role offers 40 hours per week, night shifts, and comprehensive benefits through a national travel program managed by Fusion Medical Staffing.

Ideal candidates will have 1 year of LTC RN experience, an active RN license, and current BLS; ACLS is preferred. You will lead care plans, administer treatments, and collaborate with the care team to maintain high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as an RN in a long-term care setting.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) or CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health, monitor for changes, and take action to ensure well-being.
• Develop, update, and implement personalized care plans with residents and care team.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
• Observe for medication reactions or changes in condition and report to the provider.
• Provide skilled treatments including wound care, IV therapy, and catheter management.
• Supervise and support LPNs and CNAs, delegating as appropriate and ensuring quality care.
• Educate residents and families on medications and chronic condition management.
• Document care provided and resident progress in a timely manner.
