Job summary

CVS Health – through Omnicare – seeks a licensed pharmacist for our Long Term Care Pharmacy operations in Colorado. The role focuses on ensuring safe and accurate dispensing, maintaining regulatory compliance, and coordinating with care facilities.

The successful candidate will manage orders, inventory, and labeling, while providing coverage during evenings and weekends as part of a rotating schedule. A PharmD or BS in Pharmacy is required, with LTC experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed Colorado pharmacist in good standing.
• Long Term Care pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate entry of orders.
• Maintain pharmacy security.
• Adhere to delivery schedules.
• Verify orders entered by technicians.
• Check completeness and precision of labels and orders.
• Verify drug packaging and labeling content.
• Prepare and/or supervise sterile IV products if required.
• Maintain perpetual inventory for schedule II drugs.
• Knowledge of DEA and state laws for dispensing.
• Provide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage as scheduled.
• Follow HIPAA and all state/government regulations.
• Other duties as assigned (varies by location).
