Job summary

CVS Health’s Omnicare unit is seeking a Pharmacist to support long-term care pharmacy operations. You will ensure accurate order entry, maintain security, and supervise IV drug products as needed while aligning with DEA/state laws and HIPAA.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist license in good standing in NY.
• Long Term Care and IV experience preferred.
• PharmD or Bachelors of Pharmacy degree required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate entry of orders.
• Maintain security of the pharmacy.
• Adhere to required delivery schedules.
• Verify orders entered by technicians for accuracy.
• Check for completeness and precision of new and refill labels and orders.
• Check drug packaging and labeling content and accuracy.
• Prepare and/or supervise sterile IV drug products if required.
• Assist in maintaining a perpetual inventory for schedule II drugs.
• Know DEA and state law regarding controlled drug dispensing.
• Provide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage during rotation.
• Follow HIPAA and other regulations.
