Job summary

A-line Staffing Solutions is seeking a Licensed LTC Pharmacist in Washington, NC to support dispensing, patient safety, and pharmacy operations. The role includes medication consultation, supervising staff, maintaining patient records, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

You will counsel patients, monitor adherence, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize therapy. Weekend on-call on a rotating basis and a Monday–Friday schedule are typical.

Qualifications

  • PharmD degree required.
  • Current NC Pharmacist license.
  • Knowledge of medication safety, dispensing procedures, and pharmacy regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to supervise pharmacy support staff.
  • Ability to work occasional Saturdays on a rotating schedule.
  • LTC pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Review, verify, and dispense prescription medications in compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Monitor patient medication adherence and identify potential issues.
  • Ensure medications are appropriate and safe for patients.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and pharmacy files.
  • Counsel patients on medications, administration, dosage, storage, interactions, and side effects.
  • Provide consultations on prescription and non-prescription medications.
  • Educate patients on medical devices (blood pressure monitors, glucose meters).
  • Provide patient services such as smoking cessation education, blood pressure monitoring, and cholesterol management.
  • Compound medications for internal and external use; prepare sterile solutions.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians, clerks, and other staff.
  • Maintain appropriate medication and supply inventory.
  • Identify drug-related problems and communicate with physicians and healthcare professionals.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, interns, and others.
  • Follow all state and federal pharmacy laws, regulations, and procedures.

Location: Washington, NC 27889

Pay: $65+ per hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM

Weekends: Occasional Saturdays on a rotating schedule

Position Overview

We are seeking a Licensed LTC Pharmacist to support medication dispensing, patient safety, pharmacy operations, and collaboration with healthcare professionals. This position will provide medication consultation, oversee pharmacy staff, maintain accurate patient records, and ensure compliance with applicable pharmacy regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review, verify, and dispense prescription medications in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Monitor patient medication compliance and identify potential overuse or medication-related concerns.
  • Ensure medications prescribed to patients are appropriate and safe.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and pharmacy files.
  • Counsel patients regarding medications, including proper administration, dosage, storage, potential reactions, side effects, and drug interactions.
  • Provide consultation regarding prescription and non-prescription medications.
  • Educate patients on the proper use of medical devices, including blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
  • Provide patient services such as smoking cessation education, blood pressure monitoring, and cholesterol management, as applicable.
  • Compound medications for internal and external use.
  • Prepare sterile solutions while following appropriate procedures and safety standards.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians, pharmacy clerks, and other pharmacy support staff.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels of medications and medical supplies.
  • Identify drug-related problems and communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, pharmacy interns, and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Follow all applicable state and federal pharmacy laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required.
  • Active Pharmacist license in the state of North Carolina.
  • Strong knowledge of medication safety, dispensing procedures, and pharmacy regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Compensation & Schedule

$65+ per hour

Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM

Occasional Saturdays

Saturday coverage will be assigned on a rotating schedule
