Job summary

BOS Medical Staffing seeks licensed practical nurses (LPNs) to work in a long-term care facility for parolees. Shifts start immediately with PRN options and flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities include applying the nursing process, direct supervision of CNAs, IV medication administration, and accurate EMAR documentation. A current LPN license and at least 1 year of experience are required, with background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered nursing license.
• Minimum 1 year of LPN experience.
• Experience in behavioral health or corrections preferred.
• At least 1 year of IV medication administration experience.
• Comfortable managing a high acuity unit and working as part of a team.

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Perform a focused interview to identify specific patient needs.
• Act as the charge nurse for the unit, direct CNAs as needed.
• Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient's condition.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data and information from health care members and document actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses.
• Ensure all data is properly documented in the EMAR.
• Other Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) duties as assigned.

Requirements & Skills:

• Current, unencumbered nursing license
• At least 1 year of experience as an LPN required
• Experience in behavioral health or corrections preferred
• At least 1 year of experience in administering IV medication
• Comfortable managing a high acuity unit
• Basic computer skills for charting
• Ability to work as part of a team and multi-task
