Job summary

BOS Medical Staffing seeks qualified nurses to provide comprehensive care in a Douglasville, GA correctional facility. The role requires RN/LPN licensure, BLS certification, and at least one year of correctional experience.

You will perform full nursing duties within a team and manage charting using Sapphire or similar EHRs. Shifts are 12 hours with day/night coverage; successful candidates pass background and drug screens.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered nursing license (RN or LPN).
• At least 1 year of correctional experience.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Basic computer skills for charting.
• Experience using Sapphire for charting preferred.
• Ability to work in a team and multitask.
• Candidates must pass a criminal background check including FBI fingerprint history and pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to incarcerated patients using the nursing process (assess, plan, implement, evaluate).
• Collaborate with healthcare and correctional staff to ensure patient health and safety.
• Assist with education and health promotion for the facility population.
• RNs may guide clinical care; LPNs assist under supervision.
• Maintain professional nursing standards per state regulations.

BOSMedical Staffing is searching for anPRNLPNwith corrections experience to work in a facility located in Douglasville, GA.

Estimated Hours:Days and Nights Shifts: 12-hour

Nursing staff in a correctional facility are responsible for providing comprehensive patient care to incarcerated individuals through the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Working collaboratively with members of the healthcare team and correctional staff, nurses deliver clinical care, support patient education, and help ensure the health and safety of the facility population. Registered Nurses (RNs) may guide and direct aspects of clinical care and support personnel, while Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) assist with clinical duties under the supervision of an RN, Health Services Administrator (HSA), Mid-Level Provider, or Physician. All nursing staff are expected to maintain professional nursing standards and ethical practices in accordance with applicable State Board of Nursing regulations and accrediting agencies. This role requires strong analytical and decision-making skills, the ability to respond effectively to healthcare needs within the correctional environment, and clear, professional communication.
