Job summary

BOS Medical Staffing is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to support a long-term care facility serving parolees. Shifts include part-time and full-time options, with 7A-7P and 7P-7A rotations.

You will lead nursing activities, supervise CNAs, and ensure accurate documentation in EMAR. Applicants should hold a current LPN license and have at least one year of LPN experience, preferably in behavioral health or corrections, and IV medication administration.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered LPN license.
• At least 1 year of LPN experience.
• Experience in behavioral health or corrections preferred.
• At least 1 year of IV medication administration.
• Capable of high-acuity patient care and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Conduct focused interviews to identify patient needs.
• Serve as charge nurse and direct CNAs when needed.
• Monitor physiologic and psychosocial changes in patients.
• Document data and nursing diagnoses; ensure EMAR accuracy.

BOS Medical Staffing is looking for LPNs to work in a long-term care facility for parolees. Shifts are available immediately. Available Hours: Part-Time and Full-Time Positions available (including weekend rotation). 7A-7P 7P-7A

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Perform a focused interview to identify specific patient needs.
• Act as the charge nurse for the unit, direct CNAs as needed.
• Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient's condition.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data and information from health care members and document actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses.
• Ensure all data is properly documented in the EMAR.
• Other Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) duties as assigned.

Requirements & Skills

• Current, unencumbered nursing license
• At least 1 year of experience as an LPN required
• Experience in behavioral health or corrections preferred
• At least 1 year of experience in administering IV medication
• Comfortable managing a high acuity unit
• Basic computer skills for charting
• Ability to work as part of a team and multi-task
• Candidates must pass a criminal background check including an FBI Fingerprint Criminal History Check and Pre-employment drug screen.
