Responsibilities

• Provides orientation and ongoing education to nursing staff.
• May provide orientation/education for employees across departments.
• Formulates and implements management policies for nursing responsibilities.
• Completes forms, reports, class attendance and records.
• Educates staff on new protocols and policies.
• Unit education and rounds across all shifts to identify educational needs.
• Develops new lesson plans and educational strategies.
• Maintains in-service records for all staff.
• Monitors competency and clinical practices of nursing staff.
• Ensures compliance with facility policies and nursing standards of practice.
• Oversees Performance Improvement and Infection Control programs.
