Job summary

iCare Health Network is seeking a dynamic Professional Development & Infection Control Nurse to join the Silver Springs Care Center team. The role involves developing quality in-service education, ensuring compliance with CDC/OSHA regulations, and coaching nursing staff on best practices.

Expect regular unit-based presence and collaboration with RN Supervisors to enhance clinical outcomes. Ideal candidates have supervisory experience in long-term care or hospital settings, IV certification, and

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in long-term care or hospital settings.
• IV Certification is required.
• Infection control certification preferred.
• Experience with quality in-service education programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality in-service education programs for staff.
• Evaluate quality impact of in-service programs and adjust as needed.
• Spend most time on nursing units to evaluate and improve care.
• Ensure facility compliance with CDC, OSHA, state and federal regulations.
• Coach employees on proper nursing practices and procedures.
• Make routine house rounds and consult with RN Supervisor and Charge Nurses.
• Align educational programs with regulations, policies and organizational goals.
• Facilitate adult learning and identify learning needs.
• Respond to clinical emergencies or regulatory visits; participate in on-call rotation.
• Assist DNS in ongoing training to maintain clinical competencies.
