Qualifications

• Plan, coordinate, and deliver orientation programs for all new hires.
• Develop, implement, and track ongoing in-service education and annual competencies.
• Maintain accurate education and competency records per regulatory standards.
• Assess staff learning needs and provide targeted training to address performance gaps.
• Support clinical skill development and evidence-based practice.
• Assist leadership with corrective education plans as needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee staff education and training while leading the facility’s infection prevention and control program.
• Monitor, track, and report infections per CDC, CMS, and state guidelines.
• Educate staff, residents, and families on infection prevention practices.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to manage outbreaks and exposure events.
• Maintain accurate infection control logs and reports.
