Job summary

Testronic is seeking a Localization QA tester to identify translation errors, correct spelling and ambiguities, and verify tone, style, audio, and cultural accuracy across game content. You will create reports in Excel and Jira and submit quality-improvement suggestions, working within a casual contract with flexible projects in an informal, international environment.

Experience in game testing or linguistic testing is a plus; familiarity with major platforms (PS4/PS5, Xbox, Switch, iOS) is

Qualifications

• Native-level or C2 Japanese and C1 English for internal comms.
• Excellent grammar, spelling and punctuation in your language.
• Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel.
• Clear, precise communication and ability to work under time pressure.

Job description

Join our Localization Quality Assurance department and be responsible for:

• Finding and correcting any translation errors, spelling mistakes and ambiguities.
• Checking the game’s tone and style, audio, text, and cultural correctness.
• Creating reports in Excel and Jira.
• Submitting quality improving suggestions for the errors you find.

Requirements

• Japanese C2 level or native.
• English C1 level to ensure internal communication and reporting.
• Perfect knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation of your language.
• Good MS Office skills, especially Excel.
• Great communication skills allowing to express yourself precise and clearly.
• Ability to work in a team and under pressure of time.

You can score extra points for:

• Passion for gaming and curiosity for new titles (all types of games count!).
• Experience in game testing, translation, or linguistic game testing.
• Familiarity of platforms like Sony (PS4/PS5), Microsoft (PC, Xbox One/XSX/XSS), Nintendo (Switch), Apple (iOS).
