Job summary

Inova Mount Vernon Hospital in Alexandria, VA is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (LPTA) to join our team on a PRN, days-vary schedule. This role supports the physical therapy department under supervision and provides essential rehabilitation services.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from a licensed physical therapy assistant program.
• Licensed VA Physical Therapy Assistant required upon start.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required upon start.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to department policies regarding time frame, appropriate form, and content of written rehabilitation documentation.
• Communicate effectively with patients, family, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors, and outside contacts.
• Completes all administrative and other responsibilities in support of the operating unit.
• Demonstrates essential skill in the use of treatment modalities, equipment, and protocols.
• Performs reassessments according to state and facility guidelines, while adjusting treatment plans accordingly.
