Job summary

Inova Health System in Northern Virginia seeks a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (LPTA) for outpatient care. The position is full-time with day shifts and occasional evenings, based in Chantilly, VA, at Inova Physical Therapy Center.

You will support patient rehabilitation using established modalities and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure quality care. The role requires VA licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant and BLS certification on start, with opportunities for

• Associate degree from a licensed physical therapy assistant program.
• Experience: Graduate of a licensed physical therapy assistant program; new graduates welcome.
• Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association required upon start.
• Licensed: VA License Physical Therapy Assistant required upon start.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to department policies regarding time frames, documentation of rehabilitation.
• Communicates effectively with patients, family, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors, and outside contacts.
• Completes administrative responsibilities in support of the operating unit.
• Demonstrates skill in the use of treatment modalities, equipment, and protocols.
• Performs reassessments according to state and facility guidelines, adjusting treatment plans accordingly.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Description

Inova Physical Therapy Center in South Riding is looking for Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (LPTA ) to join our outstanding team. This position is full-time Day Shifts - (40 hrs/ week) - Monday- Friday and two evening shifts per week until 7:00pm.
