Job summary

Inova Health's Inova Physical Therapy – Ashburn is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (LPTA) for a full-time, day shift position. This role commonly runs Monday–Friday with two evening shifts per week until 7pm.

You will collaborate with the care team to support rehabilitation plans and ensure accurate documentation for patient progress. Ideal candidates hold an associate degree, VA license, and BLS certification; new grads may qualify.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to department policies regarding rehabilitation documentation.

• Perform reassessments per state and facility guidelines and adjust plans accordingly.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.

Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant 1 Job Responsibilities

• The Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant 1 adheres to department policies regarding time frame, appropriate form, and content of written rehabilitation documentation.
• Communicate effectively with patients, family, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors, and outside contacts.
• Completes all administrative and other responsibilities in support of the operating unit.
• Demonstrates essential skill in the use of treatment modalities, equipment, and protocols.
• Performs reassessments according to state and facility guidelines, while adjusting treatment plans accordingly.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree from a licensed physical therapy assistant program.
• Experience: Graduate of a licensed physical therapy assistant program, new graduate of a licensed physical therapy assistant program
• Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association required upon start.
• Licensed: VA License Physical Therapy Assistant required upon start
