Qualifications

• Education: AA/AS in Physical Therapy Assistant from an approved program.
• Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association required at start.
• Licensure: Virginia license as a Physical Therapy Assistant required at start.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to department policies for rehab documentation timing and content.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, staff and care team members.
• Performs administrative duties to support the operating unit.
• Maintains and applies treatment modalities and equipment per protocol.
• Performs reassessments and adjusts treatment plans as needed.

Inova Physical Therapy - Ashburn is looking for Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (LPTA) to join our outstanding team. This role is Full-Time, Day Shift, Monday-Friday with 2 evening shifts per week until 7pm

Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant 1 Job Responsibilities:

• The Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant 1 adheres to department policies regarding time frame, appropriate form, and content of written rehabilitation documentation.
• Communicate effectively with patients, family, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors, and outside contacts.
• Completes all administrative and other responsibilities in support of the operating unit.
• Demonstrates essential skill in the use of treatment modalities, equipment, and protocols.
• Performs reassessments according to state and facility guidelines, while adjusting treatment plans accordingly.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Associate degree from a licensed physical therapy assistant program.
• Experience: Graduate of a licensed physical therapy assistant program, new graduate of a licensed physical therapy assistant program
• Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association required upon start.
• Licensed: VA License Physical Therapy Assistant required upon start
