Job summary

Murray-Calloway County Hospital is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to work in Murray, KY. The LPN will function under the supervision of a Medical Provider and participate in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care according to department standards.

Qualified applicants will be graduates of an accredited LPN program, possess a Kentucky license (or compact state), and have CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (Ky license or compact state) active Ky license.
• CPR certification required.

Description

The LPN works under the direction of a Medical Provider. Participates in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care, within the objectives, standards, and policies of the department and within the parameters of his or her preparation. Cooperates with the members of the nursing and medical staffs and other hospital departments.

This person must be a positive professional, have a strong work ethic, work well with others, and have compassion for our patients at all times.

Required Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered with Kentucky Board of Nursing or compact states; Active Ky license
• CPR certification required

Minimum Education:

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program

Minimum Work Experience:

• Prior experience in clinical office preferred.
