Susquehanna Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Johnson City, NY is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for weekend shifts. Pay ranges from $29 to $32.60 per hour with a sign-on bonus of up to $2,500. The part-time schedule is Friday and Saturday, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (12.5-hour shifts).

You will provide high-quality nursing care, administer meds, and support residents’ safety and comfort. Join a team dedicated to resident-centered care in a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Valid NYS LPN license is required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or geriatric care preferred.
• Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care per resident assessments and care plans.
• Administer medications and IV therapies within LPN scope.
• Monitor resident conditions and report changes promptly.
• Document care, treatments, and medication administration.
• Supervise nursing assistants and support shift changes.
• Maintain up-to-date resident care information and communication.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)- Weekend Warrior
Rate: $29 to $32.60/hour (depending on experience)
Sign on Bonus: Up to $2,500
Shift: Part-Time
Schedule: Friday and Saturday, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (12.5-hour shifts)
Work two consecutive 12.5 hour weekend shifts and get paid an additional 6 hours!!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide nursing care in accordance with resident assessments, care plans, and facility policies
• Administer medications, treatments, enteral feedings, and IV therapies within the LPN scope of practice
• Monitor resident conditions and promptly communicate changes to providers, supervisors, and responsible parties
• Accurately document care, treatments, observations, and medication administration
• Supervise and support Nursing Assistants to ensure quality resident care
• Maintain up-to-date resident care information and communicate pertinent information during shift changes
• Follow infection control, safety, resident rights, and confidentiality standards
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and quality improvement initiatives
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and other nursing responsibilities as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred
• Valid NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License required
• Current CPR Certification required
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or with the geriatric population preferred
• Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
• Knowledge of medication administration, infection control, and resident care practices
• Ability to supervise nursing assistants and work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Compassionate, resident-centered approach to care
