Chautauqua Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Dunkirk, NY, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for weekend coverage. This weekend warrior role offers patient-focused care, medication administration, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

Rate: $28-32.01/hour depending on experience, with a sign-on bonus up to $3,000. Schedule: weekends, 7 am–7:30 pm, part-time. Benefits include PTO, health/dental/vision, life insurance, and retirement options.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid NYS LPN License required.
• Current CPR Certification required.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred.

Mansioni

• Provide nursing care in accordance with resident assessments, care plans, and facility policies.
• Administer medications, treatments, enteral feedings, and IV therapies within the LPN scope of practice.
• Monitor resident conditions and promptly communicate changes to providers, supervisors, and responsible parties.
• Accurately document care, treatments, observations, and medication administration.
• Supervise and support Nursing Assistants to ensure quality resident care.
• Maintain up-to-date resident care information and communicate pertinent information during shift changes.
• Follow infection control, safety, resident rights, and confidentiality standards.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and quality improvement initiatives.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and other nursing responsibilities as assigned.

Rate: $28- $32.01/hour (depending on experience)

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred
• Valid NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License required
• Current CPR Certification required
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or with the geriatric population preferred
• Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
• Knowledge of medication administration, infection control, and resident care practices
• Ability to supervise nursing assistants and work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Compassionate, resident-centered approach to care
