Job summary

Baptist Health in central Alabama is seeking an LPN to provide direct, patient-focused care under the supervision of an RN in the Urology department. You will follow the Nursing Care Plan and ensure timely administration of medications while reporting patient status to the RN.

  • Active LPN license and BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required depending on department.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and related software.
  • Strong teamwork, organization, interpersonal and customer relations skills.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple tasks.

Highlights

The LPN shall be responsible for direct, individualized, goal-directed, and effective patient care under the supervision of the RN. This individual shall provide care as outlined in the Nursing Care Plan in accordance with Standards of Practice, policies, and procedures. The LPN will be responsible for administration of medications, report patient symptoms and conditions to the RN. For the LPN within Employee Health, the individual will be responsible for new hire and annual health screenings under the direct supervision of the RN. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.

Education / Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required.

License / Certification

Active LPN license required, BLS required, Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc) may be required based upon department assigned.
