Job summary

Cleveland Clinic’s Main Campus is seeking an LPN for the fast-paced G90 Urology/Medical-Surgical Telemetry Unit. You will assist caregivers in delivering high‑quality, compassionate care to a diverse patient population and support recovery after complex surgical procedures.

The role emphasizes hands‑on skill development, teamwork, and ongoing learning within the Cleveland Clinic system. Night shifts are 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m., with every other weekend and holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Practical or Vocational Nursing Program.
• current Ohio licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through AHA or Red Cross.

• Collect, document and report patient data to RN or directing provider.
• Implement care plans as directed by an RN and contribute to revisions.
• Administer medications and/or treatments as prescribed and observe for adverse reactions.

G90 is a fast-paced Urology/Medical-Surgical Telemetry Unit caring for patients recovering from complex and highly acute surgical procedures. Our team provides thoughtful, hands-on care throughout the recovery process, helping patients manage pain, regain strength and mobility, and return to their daily lives. The unit cares for a diverse surgical population, with a strong focus on urology and surgical patients.

As an LPN, you will assist fellow caregivers in providing exceptional, top-quality care to a diverse patient population. A caregiver in this position works nights from 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m. with every other weekend and holiday rotation requirements.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Collect, document and report patient data and observations to the RN or authorized directing health care provider.
• Implement care plans as directed by an RN and contribute to care plan revisions.
• Administer medications and/or treatments authorized by a provider and observe patients for adverse reactions.
• Perform routine laboratory tests.
• Educate patients and family members.
• Participate in the departmental orientation of new employees in a positive manner, share knowledge, experiences, and provide guidance when assigned.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Graduate of an accredited Practical or Vocational Nursing Program
• Current Ohio licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) Or the American Red Cross

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• One year of patient care experience

Physical Requirements:

• Requires full body motion to move and lift patients, manual finger dexterity with good eye-hand coordination.
• Involves extensive standing and walking.
• Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
• Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $23.25

Maximum hourly: $33.50
