Qualifications

• Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or be a graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program.
• Must possess current, unencumbered, active nursing license to practice in the state.
• Strong leadership and supervisory ability; ability to plan, organize, and supervise nursing staff.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.
• Ensure that all nursing personnel comply with the written policies and procedures established by this facility.
• Maintain the Nursing Service Procedures Manual and ensure it reflects day-to-day nursing procedures.
• Meet with the shift's nursing personnel to plan services, programs, and activities; participate in discharge planning as required.
• Coordinate with other resident services to ensure the resident’s total regimen of care is maintained.
