Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Current State License as a LPN.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality nursing care to Residents in an environment that promotes rights, dignity, and choice.
• Supervises CNAs and subordinate staff, ensuring assignments are completed.
• Supervises direct care of residents and nursing personnel on the shift.
• Gives and receives shift reports.
• Rounds the unit multiple times to ensure proper, safe, and clean care.
• Keeps physicians and families informed of changes in resident conditions.
• Assists in developing comprehensive care plans.
• Maintains medical records per nursing policies with confidentiality.
• Maintains infection control and safety precautions during care.
• Maintains resident privacy, dignity and a compassionate demeanor.
• Responds to call lights promptly and courteously.
• Assists with admissions, readmissions, and transfers.
• Communicates effectively with residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.
• Attends departmental meetings and in-services.
