Job summary

The Quality Center for Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking an LPN Unit Manager to lead the nursing team and oversee unit operations. The role focuses on supervising licensed and non-licensed staff, conducting evaluations, and ensuring high-quality resident care.

You will maintain a quality assurance program, coordinate nursing services with other resident services, and exercise independent judgment when needed. Flexibility for evenings, nights, and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Must have an active LPN license for the state of practice.
• 2 years of supervisor experience in a hospital, long-term care facility, or related health care facility preferred.
• Completion of post-secondary education; ability to read, write, and follow directions.
• Must maintain regular attendance; capable of adjusting to a flexible schedule (evenings, nights, weekends).

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc.
• Day-to-day supervision of licensed and non-licensed staff; counseling/disciplinary action; evaluations; one-to-one in-service; suspensions/terminations
• Maintain an ongoing quality assurance program for the nursing unit
• Develop methods for coordination of nursing services with other resident services to ensure continuity of residents' total regimen of care
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
• Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the general public
• Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long-term care
• Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel
