Gold Crest Care Center, a 175-bed rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility in the Bronx, is actively hiring a Unit Manager to oversee unit operations and resident care. The role emphasizes leadership, clinical expertise, and commitment to quality in a skilled nursing environment.

The ideal candidate will hold a NYS LPN license with LTC experience and strong communication skills, and will supervise staff, ensure compliance with policies, and liaise with families and physicians.

Qualifications

• NYS LPN license required in New York State.
• Experience in long-term care (LTC) settings required.
• Strong leadership and supervisory abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the nursing unit, including treatment and medication administration.
• Ensure resident care needs are met by scheduling and assigning nursing staff.
• Establish a compassionate environment by supporting residents and their families.
• Conduct daily audits of new admission charts.
• Serve as liaison between families, physicians, and interdisciplinary departments.
• Investigate all incident reports and ensure proper follow-up.
• Participate in weekly risk and interdisciplinary meetings.
• Provide input on staff performance, including participation in annual evaluations.
• Implement and interpret organizational policies, nursing standards, and regulations.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant environment.
