Job summary

The Laurels of Athens, part of Ciena Healthcare, seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to supervise and coordinate resident care during assigned shifts under the direction of the Director of Nursing. This role provides clinical supervision to CNAs/STNAs and serves as a key resource for residents, families, and staff.

Requirements include a current LPN license, CPR certification (or within 90 days), and 1–2 years of nursing experience in long-term or sub-acute care.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license to practice in the state.
• CPR certification currently or within 90 days of employment.
• 1–2 years of nursing experience in long-term or sub-acute preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises CNAs/STNAs and other staff providing direct care
• Plans, assigns, and directs work in alignment with resident needs and staff capabilities
• Prepares work assignments, adjusting for staffing levels and resident safety
• Receives staffing-related calls and arranges replacements as needed
• Transfers employees among units per staffing demands
• Completes performance evaluations for CNAs/STNAs
• Adjusts break schedules and resolves staff concerns
• Use independent judgment in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
