Job summary

Riverview Health & Rehab - North in Detroit, MI is seeking an experienced nurse supervisor to oversee care on the unit. You will supervise nursing assistants, coordinate medications, and ensure adherence to physician orders and policies.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current state license to practice as an RN or LPN.
• CPR certification and additional nursing specialty certifications are desired.
• 2 years of long-term care experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care of residents on the unit with a nurse aide able to provide required care.
• Administer and document medications and treatments per each resident’s schedule.
• Prepare work assignments sheets and monitor staff performance and compliance with policies.
• Respond to resident needs and change plans as physician orders evolve.
• Conduct resident rounds and communicate with physicians and family as needed.
• Ensure accurate handoffs and maintain 24-hour resident reports.
