Job summary

Beaumont Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking an LPN to provide direct nursing care and supervise nursing assistants. You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards while maintaining high-quality care for residents.

You will admit, transfer, and discharge residents, prepare and administer medications, and collaborate with other departments to sustain a calm and warm nursing environment. CPR certification and LTAC familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse with current unencumbered state license.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Knowledgeable of nursing & medical practices & procedures, and related laws/regulations.
• Current CPR Certification is required
• Experience in Long Term Care is preferred

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants and plan shift services.
• Admit, transfer and discharge residents; provide leadership to nursing staff.
• Complete and file admission/transfer/discharge records; transcribe orders.
• Chart nurse notes reflecting care and resident responses.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by physician.
• Maintain rapport with inter-departmental staff to meet resident needs.
• Ensure privacy and confidentiality of resident information.
• Perform additional duties as assigned
