Job summary

Huntsville Hospital is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to perform a broad range of nursing tasks under the supervision of a registered nurse or provider. The LPN will provide direct patient care to diverse populations and will implement established procedures per plan of care while reinforcing routine patient education.

The role requires graduation from a State board School of Practical Nursing with current Alabama or multistate licensure.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of State board School of Practical Nursing with current Alabama or multi-state licensure.
• Experience: Experienced/New Graduate
• Additional Skills/Abilities: BLS required before the conclusion of the orientation period.

Job description

The individual provides direct patient care for diverse patient populations that vary in gender, age, socioeconomic status, education, physical and mental abilities, locations, sexual lifestyle, and racial and ethnic background. The LPN implements technical nursing procedures according to established policies and procedures and plan of care, assists and reinforces routine patient education, and documents patient care appropriately. The LPN communicates and interacts with other team members to facilitate teamwork and delivery of quality care.
