Huntsville Hospital is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or provider. The role supports diverse patient populations and follows established plans of care, with emphasis on documentation, patient education, and teamwork across care teams.

The ideal candidate holds State board Practical Nursing licensure for Alabama or multis-state licensure and BLS certification by orientation end date; experienced or new graduate

Qualifications

• Graduate of State board School of Practical Nursing with current Alabama or multi-state licensure.
• Experience: Experienced/New Graduate.
• BLS required before the conclusion of the orientation period.

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) performs a broad array of nursing tasks under the supervision of a registered nurse or provider. The individual provides direct patient care for diverse patient populations that vary in gender, age, socioeconomic status, education, physical and mental abilities, locations, sexual lifestyle, and racial and ethnic background. The LPN implements technical nursing procedures according to established policies and procedures and plan of care, assists and reinforces routine patient education, and documents patient care appropriately. The LPN communicates and interacts with other team members to facilitate teamwork and delivery of quality care.

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of State board School of Practical Nursing with current Alabama or multi-state licensure.

Experience: Experienced/New Graduate

Additional Skills/Abilities: BLS required before the conclusion of the orientation period.
