Job summary

Villa Healthcare is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Detroit area center. The LPN is responsible for providing licensed nursing care, supervising CNA staff, and ensuring care plans are carried out per physician orders.

The ideal candidate holds an active LPN license in the state, with CPR certification and prior long-term care experience preferred. This full-time position offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities within Villa Healthcare.

Qualifications

• Current CPR Certification required.
• Possess a current license to practice in the State as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Long-Term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides licensed care to residents as ordered by physician and in accordance with standards.
• Provides and receives nursing reports at shift change.
• Maintains cleanliness of care areas and equipment.
• Directs and supervises CNA services for assigned unit.
• Performs assessments/observations and reviews care plans.
• Takes vital signs and administers medications and IV therapy as ordered.
• Transcribes physician orders to charts and MAR.
• Documents nursing notes reflecting care provided and resident response.
• Completes admission/transfer/discharge forms.
• Ensures safety and mitigates hazards in the resident environment.
• Raises recommendations for care plan changes to the IDT.
