Job summary

The Ponce Care Center in St. Augustine, FL is hiring Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our skilled nursing team. Provide nursing care per physician orders and nursing standards; administer medications and document effects; support resident comfort and well-being.

We offer a $3,000 sign-on bonus for full-time and $1,500 for part-time, comprehensive benefits including health/dental/vision/life, PTO, 401K, continuing education, and a supportive team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Up to date first aid and CPR certification.
• Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse with FL state license.
• Exceptional staff training and customer service skills.
• Compassionate and friendly demeanor.
• Excellent technical, assessment, and documentation skills.
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
• Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds. Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of job.
• Able to stand and/or walk for more than four (4) hours per day.
• Able to bend and/or stoop for more than one (1) hour at a time.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care (i.e., grooming, bathing, dressing, oral care, etc.) of residents daily and as needed.
• Provide bedside care. Administer medications and document therapeutic effects.
• Assist with resident comfort.
• Prepare and administer injections and/or enemas.
• Collect samples and monitor catheters.
• Take TPR (temperature, pulse, & rate), blood pressure, weighing of residents, etc., as directed.
• Assist in the orientation and training of other staff, as requested.
• Other special projects and duties, as assigned.
