Job summary

Waldron Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise nursing assistants. You will ensure compliance with regulations, admit/discharge residents, and collaborate with physicians to maintain high-quality care.

Strong clinical knowledge, LPN licensure, CPR certification, and LTC experience are preferred as you lead a care team in a facility committed to resident well-being and dignity.

Qualifications

• Must have an unencumbered LPN license.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Knowledge of nursing practices, laws, and guidelines pertaining to nursing care facilities.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Long term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of nursing assistants and plan shift services.
• Complete and file required admission, transfer and discharge records.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• Develop and maintain rapport with inter-departmental staff to ensure quality nursing care.
• Perform routine charting and nursing rounds with physicians as needed.
• Monitor safety and ensure privacy of resident information.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
