Job summary

Community Health is seeking an LPN for Rutland Express Care in Rutland, VT. This full-time role (.9 FTE) provides professional nursing care for office patients consistent with established policies and procedures.

The LPN administers medications, records vital signs, prepares patients, and supports emergency priorities while coordinating with the physician. We offer benefits and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited LPN school of nursing program.
• Maintains current Vermont State License.
• Documented medical experience with medications and their effects, patient education, examination, diagnostic and treatment procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for office patients following established policies and procedures.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards.
• Take and record patients' vital signs, immunization status, and brief history.
• Clean and autoclave procedural equipment and instruments.
• Observe and report to physician patient condition and reaction to drugs and treatments.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Provide professional nursing care for office patients following established policies and procedures.

FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION

• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards.
• Takes and records patients vital signs, immunization status, and brief history.
• Cleans and autoclaves procedural equipment and instruments.
• Observes records and reports to physician patient’s condition and reaction to drugs and treatments, according to the nursing process.
• Oversees appointment scheduling, assures priority is given to patients in emergency situations.

SKILLS REQUIRED FOR SUCCESS: LPN

• Graduate of an accredited LPN school of nursing program.
• Maintains current Vermont State License.
• Documented medical experience with full knowledge of medications and their effects, patient education examination, diagnostic and treatment procedures.
• One year of professional experiences preferred, preferably in an office setting.
