Job summary

The Goodman Group, LLC is seeking a Unit Manager LPN or RN to coordinate daily unit operations in our Florida community. The role requires an active LPN or RN license and at least one year of long-term care or geriatric nursing experience, with strong clinical and organizational skills and a customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• Must meet all applicable state and federal requirements for this position.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
• Maintain an active LPN license, in good standing, in applicable state throughout employment.
• Minimum one year of direct care experience in long-term care, restorative or geriatric settings as an LPN.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, and direct nursing services for residents on the unit assigned.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations and facility policies.
• Report complaints and grievances to the Director of Nursing or Executive Director.
• Maintain adequate stock of medications, supplies, equipment on the unit.
• Assist in development of written preliminary and comprehensive assessments.
• Coordinate nursing/aide assignments and admissions.
• Collaborate with nursing and social services on discharge planning.
• Assure provider orders are processed timely and accurately.
• Engage with residents and families to resolve issues and document updates.
• Participate in on-call nurse manager rotation and interdisciplinary meetings.
