Job summary

South Shore Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking an LPN/LVN/RN for a full-time night shift to join our dedicated care team. The role involves administering medications, following physicians' orders, and supervising CNAs to ensure high-quality resident care in our unit.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited nursing program and licensed in the state with active status. CPR certification is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• CPR certification preferred but not required.
• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as an LPN/RN in the state employed; license must be active, valid, and in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and lead team conferences in development of individualized nursing care plans.
• Assess and document the residents' condition and nursing needs.
• Accurately and promptly implement physicians' orders.
• Administer medications, start IVs, and perform treatments for assigned residents and document that treatment as required by Majestic Care and local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
• Participate in orientation and in-service training for personnel.
• Assist physicians with special tests and procedures within the scope of state specified Nursing Practice Act.
• Report and record pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents.
• Coordinate nursing care of residents when scheduled for therapy or procedures by other departments.
• Assist with or institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments in residents.

Position Overview:

Bluegrass Consulting Group Nurses render skilled technical nursing services to residents within an assigned unit/wing in support of medical care as directed by the nursing management team; supervises CNAs to ensure a high quality of care is provided to all residents in that unit.
