Christie Clinic is seeking a full-time LPN/RN for the Bloomington or Champaign clinics, Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm with no nights or weekends. A hybrid/remote schedule may be available one day per week after training, providing flexibility while maintaining essential clinic support.

The role emphasizes professional nursing care, medication administration, injections, triage support, and patient education in a busy outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Evidence of annual completion of health related courses and/or seminars with a certificate and/or CEUs.
• CPR Certification.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications and injections per nursing standards and provider directions.
• Prepare equipment and assist the provider during examination and testing.
• Observe, record and report patient condition and response to treatment.
• Serve as liaison between patient and provider regarding questions or concerns.
• Instruct patient and family on medication, treatment and education.
• Respond to triage calls using nursing assessment and provide patient testing as needed.
• Obtain prior authorizations for medications and procedures; coordinate testing and labs.
• Maintain provider work lists and follow up on tests and reports.

Job description

Christie Clinic's department of Endocrinology is seeking a full-time LPN/RN at the Medical Hills clinic in Bloomington or at the Windsor clinic in Champaign from Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, with no night or weekend requirements. This position will allow for a hybrid/remote schedule of one day per week once training and department competencies are successfully completed.Duties include the provision of professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices.JOB DUTIES: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned.)Administer prescribed medications and treatment and injections in accordance with nursing standards and as directed by provider.Prepare equipment and aid provider during treatment, examination and/or testing of the patient.Observe, record and report patient’s condition and reaction to medication and/or treatment to provider.Act as a liaison between the patient and provider regarding complaints, concerns, etc.Instruct patient and family regarding medication, treatment instructions and patient education.Demonstrate the ability to respond to triage calls using nursing assessment.Perform special testing on patients.Give injections to patients and draw blood, as needed in accordance with nursing standards and as directed by provider.Obtain prior authorizations from insurance companies for medications and procedures.Perform related work as required.Arrange for patient testing and admission.Send prescription refills in accordance with nursing standards and as directed by provider.Obtain prior authorizations for medications, testing, procedures, equipment, etc.Maintain work list from provider and follow up on labs, tests, reports, etc.Attend and participate in departmental huddles and any other meetings as necessary.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Graduation from an accredited school of nursingEvidence of annual completion of health related courses and/or seminars with a certificate and/or CEU’sPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Professional nursing experienceCERTIFICATE/LICENSE:Possession of an Illinois State LPN or Registered Nurse LicenseCPR CertificationTYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Demands include sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, stretching and lifting up to 75 pounds. Requirements may include working irregular hours.PAY AND BENEFITS:The estimated pay range for this position is exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related criteria.
