Job summary

The Arc of Washington County - MD is seeking an experienced LPN for our I/DD program in Hagerstown, MD. This role emphasizes nursing review, staff training on care plans, and adherence to medical protocols within a structured, on-site setting.

This position requires an active LPN license in Maryland or a compact state, experience with IDD or long-term care, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Proficiency in MS Office and strong documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• LPN license in Maryland or a compact state.
• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities or in long-term care.
• Ability to provide direct care, implement restraint techniques, and lift/transfer up to 50 pounds.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication, organizational, training and documentation skills.
• Ability to pass all pre-employment screenings: background check, drug screening, and physical/ergonomic testing.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality healthcare and provide nursing review and follow-up across programs
• Train and support staff on care plans and medical protocols
• Verify physician orders and ensure compliance with medical guidelines
• Complete nursing documentation and focused assessments as needed
• Support the Lead LPN and medical assistants in daily operations
• Monitor compliance with COMAR regulations, the Nurse Practice Act, and Developmental Disabilities guidelines
