The Arc of Washington County in Hagerstown, MD is hiring an LPN for the I/DD Program. This full-time on-site role provides nursing review, staff training, and compliance, focusing on individuals with developmental disabilities.

Work hours 8:00-4:30, Monday-Friday, with occasional care tasks. Requires Maryland LPN license (or compact), experience with IDD or long-term care, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• LPN license in Maryland or a compact state.
• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Ability to lift/transfer up to 50 pounds.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication, organizational, training and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing review and follow-up across programs.
• Train and support staff on care plans and medical protocols.
• Verify physician orders and ensure compliance with medical guidelines.
• Complete nursing documentation and focused assessments as needed.
• Support the Lead LPN and medical assistants in daily operations.
• Monitor compliance with COMAR regulations, the Nurse Practice Act, and Developmental Disabilities guidelines.
