Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to perform duties as prescribed by the Oklahoma Nurse Practice Act. The role includes contributing to care plans, administering medications safely, and maintaining clinical work areas.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent with LPN training, Oklahoma licensure, and BLS certification. Experience in clinical or hospital settings is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a vocational program for Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Prefer at least one year of experience in a clinical or physician-office setting, ER, or hospital setting that provides patient care; office clerical experience is a plus.
  • Current LPN license from the State of Oklahoma is required; BLS training or re-training during orientation and maintained during employment.

  • Contributes to the development of a plan of care and follows through with such plan for selected patients.
  • Administers medication with a high degree of safety and accuracy.

  • Assists with patient care and monitors patients during procedures.
  • Assists with the training of other staff.

Licensure/Certification/Registration/Professional Designation ETC
  • Current LPN license from the State of Oklahoma is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained for duration of employment.
Compensation/Benefits
  • $18.80-$30.71/hr depending on previous work experience.
