Job summary

The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide professional nursing care for residents in long-term care settings in De Smet, SD, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician.

You will administer medications, document resident care, and work closely with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure safe, compassionate care and adherence to care plans.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
• Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for residents in long term care under supervision.
• Administer medications or treatments as ordered.
• Document resident interactions and outcomes related to care, medications, behavior, activity and diet.
• Maintain effective working relationships with residents, health care providers, and the public.
• Communicate clearly and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to support resident care and safety.
