Good Samaritan Society in De Smet, SD is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide professional nursing care for residents in long-term care settings. Under supervision of a registered nurse or physician, you will assess, plan, and implement patient care, including medication administration and monitoring.

You will participate in an interdisciplinary team, document care activities, and support residents and families with compassionate, person-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program and obtain an unencumbered LPN license.
• Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
• IV therapy/management skills may be required where applicable by state.
• Experience in long-term care and collaborative work within an interdisciplinary team.

Responsabilités

• Provide nursing care for residents under supervision of RN, APRN, or physician.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Monitor resident status, assess needs, and respond to emergent situations.
• Document resident interactions, care provided, and outcomes.
• Maintain confidentiality and communicate clearly with residents, families, and staff.
