Job summary

The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide skilled nursing care in our De Smet, SD facility. You will work under supervision of a registered nurse or physician to deliver resident-focused care, administer meds, monitor status, and support an interdisciplinary team.

Ideal candidates will have an accredited LPN program and a state license; an associate degree is preferred.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program and hold an LPN license.
Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
If position requires IV therapy in ND, meet Board requirements for IV therapy.
Minimum of 400 hours of supervised clinical experience as LPN.

Responsibilities

Provide professional nursing care for residents in long-term care under supervision.
Administer medications or treatments as ordered.
Document resident interactions and outcomes related to care and medications.
Communicate clearly with residents, families and the care team; maintain confidentiality.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
