Job summary

The Village of St. Edward is an assisted living/memory care facility in Fairlawn, OH seeking an LPN PRN to provide direct resident care on an as-needed basis. The role emphasizes independent care planning, assessment, and evaluation, with a supportive team environment.

Qualified candidates will have a current BLS certification, ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistance, and reliable transportation. Experience in long-term care or memory care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Preferred experience in assisted living/memory care setting or a long-term care setting
• Good physical and mental health
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Dexterity to perform injections, IVs
• Able to lift 35-50 pounds independently, and over 50 pounds with assistance
• Ability to bend, stoop, and reach
• Walks, stands, and sits intermittently during the day
• Infection Control practices
• Must have reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation
• Supervise and direct care provided by nursing assistants
• Participate in continued professional development
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

SUMMARY OF POSITION

In accordance with the mission and values of The Village of St. Edward, the Charge Nurse- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works independently to provide direct resident care including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation; supervises and directs care provided by nursing assistants; participates in continued professional development; performs other job-related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• Preferred experience in assisted living/memory care setting or a long-term care setting

Good physical and mental health.

• Able to lift, push and pull 35-50 pounds independently, and over 50 pounds with assistance.
