Job summary

The Village of St. Edward is seeking an LPN to join our Assisted Living/Memory Care team in Wadsworth, OH. This part-time role covers 24 hours per week with 12-hour night shifts (7pm–7:30am) and a rotating schedule that may include holidays.

Qualifications

• Current Ohio LPN licensure.
• Preferred experience in assisted living/memory care or long-term care.
• Good physical and mental health.
• Dexterity for injections, IVs, etc.
• Ability to lift 35–50 pounds independently, and more with assistance.
• Reliable transportation.
• Willingness to work every other weekend/holiday in certain positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Supervise and direct care provided by nursing assistants.
• Participate in continued professional development and training.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Summary Of Position

In accordance with the mission and values of The Village of St. Edward, the Charge Nurse (Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)) works independently to provide direct resident care including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation; supervises and directs care provided by nursing assistants; participates in continued professional development; performs other job-related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Current Ohio LPN licensure

Preferred experience in assisted living/memory care setting or a long-term care setting

REQUIREMENTS:

• Good physical and mental health.
• Possesses the necessary dexterity to perform injections, IVS, etc.
• Able to lift, push and pull 35-50 pounds independently, and over 50 pounds with assistance.
• Possesses the ability to bend, stoop, and reach at different angles.
• Walks, stands, and sits intermittently during the day.
• Follow all Infection Control practices.
• Must be able to work every other weekend/holiday in certain positions
• Must have reliable transportation
