Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc. in Harrison County is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to provide in-home care for pediatric and/or adult patients. The role supports day and night shifts, with full-time, part-time, or PRN schedules.

Responsibilities include planning and delivering patient care, administering medications, and coordinating education and discharge planning. Current state license and BLS are required; prior home health experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current LPN/LVN license in the practicing state.
• TB or Chest X-Ray current.
• Current BLS card.
• One year of prior nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in home visits.
• Initiates the plan of care and requests revisions as patient needs change.
• Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on diagnosis and goals.
• Intervenes in response to patient condition changes and reports to physician or supervisor.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed and documents effects.
• Reviews care plan and coordinates education, care, and discharge planning as applicable.

Maxim Healthcare in Harrison County is hiring for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work with Pediatric and/or Adult patients in their own homes.

Responsibilities:

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or services provided to client(s) receiving contracted services, as required
• Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests from the prescriber any necessary revisions as the patient's status and needs change
• Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and established goals
• Intervenes as applicable in response to changes in patient/client condition and reports such changes to the appropriate physician or supervisor
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, as well as monitors and documents the effectiveness of the intervention
• Reviews plan of care and program protocols and identifies areas for healthcare teaching/education, care coordination, goal setting, and discharge planning needs, as applicable

Requirements:

• Currently licensed as an LPN/LVN in the state in which the LPN will practice.
• Current TB or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• One year of prior professional nursing experience preferred
