Job summary

MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) in Bluffton, SC, seeks an LPN to provide patient-centered care in a busy primary care setting. You will assist with exams, take vital signs, screen patients by phone and in person, and document care in medical records per policy.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited Practical Nurse program, SC or compact-state LPN license, and current BLS/CPR certification. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Practical Nurse program with six months of patient care experience required.
• Licensed as an LPN within the state of South Carolina or a compact state.
• Current CPR/bLS certification required (AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or Red Cross).

Responsibilities

• Assist with examination preparation, interviewing patients, and obtaining chief complaint data.
• Perform telephone and in-person screenings.
• Document findings in medical records per policy and keep records accurate.
• Prioritize and document patient calls regarding medications and conditions.
• Maintain and stock examination rooms and supply areas.
